strange how i'm showing just as much skin as i would be wearing a pair of
denim shorts, yet somehow this feels way more scandalous...

  1. But you're not showing as much skin... I think it feels more scandalous 'cause it's more of a peek of skin, as opposed to an obvious small item of clothing. Very cool outfit.

  2. I love that! That sometimes wearing more clothing feels more revealing. It's an odd feeling. You look fantastic. So summery and sexy. Love the skirt!!

  3. Wow, I would never have guessed that the cardigan is from H&M. I never buy anything there anymore but I guess I have to take a look tomorrow. Really loved the fit of the cardigan and the fact that it is LINEN! :D

  4. I love it, all of the pieces are great. My only issue is the blunt end of the cardigan where the tendrils of the skirt emerge - I suppose I think something a little more asymmetrical would really tie everything together - regardless, it's a beautiful outfit.

  8. I think the bandeau top pulls this whole look together - it's unexpected and sexy without being overbearing.

  9. Love that nude bag. I agree about how certain exposure can seem sexier than obvious ones.

  10. Thanks for the suggestion. The problem with vintage stuff is that they NEVER fit me properly. I'm obsessed with proportions and that the garment fits my body perfectly.

Haha, must be nice for rich people!!

    Cheers

  11. rawr.
i know just what you mean. wearing something sheer or light always gives me far more of a thrill than mere, blatant near-nudity. :)
i see you're getting more adjusted to carrying clutches?

  16. isn't that always how it goes though?? that's why i am so trepid when it comes to finally pulling the trigger on these highly-obsessed over items.

that's funny though, i had the camel ones and sold them to get the black ones, which ended up being too expensive. now i want the light beige ones from this season. sigh.

  19. I'm a big fan of your blog, and I've been following you since your stylediary days. I saw this bag and immediately thought it would be up your alley:

    http://www.lagarconne.com/store/item.htm?itemid=7737&sid=26&pid=

You had that other bag which was modeled after a plastic shopping bag, except that it was made of expensive leather - well, this bag is modeled after a paper bag but made of expensive leather!

Also just wanted to say, it is nice to see a girl in a non-fashion or design job with a fashion blog. I'm an engineer, and it's hard to know how to dress for work each day, so I take inspiration from your blog.
