hehe... i get a lot of requests for more work outfit posts, but i have to space these out since my work wardrobe is nowhere near as extensive as my "play" wardrobe

i need some spring work shoes. i'm thinking topsiders or boat shoes. i love Tod's driving mocs but don't feel like spending $400. suggestions? do we like these?

  1. I really like that first pair of loafers. My normal day outfits often resemble these examples if I'm just running errands in the neighborhood.
    Today was no exception. :)

  2. I just checked out a pair of loafers linked by If I Owned a Boutique and I think they're a great find. Dieppa Restrepo flats at Domahoka (http://shop.domahoka.com/shoes/dieppa-restrepo-dandy-slip-on.html) - not super cheap but better than $400.

  3. I know you didn't ask for suggestions, but I happened to be reading this post at the same time I was reading yours, and I really like these:

  4. I think they're both cute! I got a pair of Tods and I haven't worn them in years. I got them for around $100 in Italy a few yrs ago. I should bring them back.

  5. I am not a "moccasin girl" at all, but if I would have to choose, I would definitely go for Cole Haan loafers, very Alexa Chung style.

or for ( more expensive) Chloe moccasins.

  6. i like the 2nd loafers a lot- i always think sebagos look nice in person. they make a nice baby blue colored moc that i would have no idea how to wear, but it's so pretty. jcrew loafers are nice too- they feel like slippers (you could wear them with your pseudo pj pants).

i love seeing your work outfits! it seems like you have a good collection of work pants. i totally know what you mean about the end-of-the-day rumpledness. wish i knew how some people avoid it. ~joelle

  7. Hi Koko, this is a question about one of your previous posts, specifically sizing for the current/elliott jeans. We are about the same height, I was wondering if I should take a 25 (my regular size in most jeans) or size down to a 24 like some people are saying to. I want them to look a little loose like yours, not fitted, yet I hear that they stretch out considerably. Any thoughts?

  8. ^^ hi sophie! I would get the 24. I wear a 24/25 and always take a 24 in current/elliot. They do stretch out quite a bit, especially in the waist. I can't even wear my boyfriend jeans without a belt to hold them up! I think the 24 will be fine. If you tell me ther particular style I might be able to help you better :-)

  9. we definitely like. i prefer the second, though.
as for repetition with work outfits, i think that's to be admired. means you get the maximum wear out of all of your items. i just gave away a huge canvas bag of work clothes i never wore or wore once or twice. i'll need to reinvest in quality pieces i'll actually be able to wear as the others were not flattering AT ALL.
thanks for sharing the work outfits. we never mind your repetition!

  10. Hi Koko, that was very helpful thank you.:) It's for the regular boyfriend jeans, I ordered the 24. *fingers crossed*
